At the 2025 Global Digital Transformation Conference, two leading technologies jointly developed by China Mobile and Huawei won the “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, “Excellent Awards”, and “Pioneer Project Awards” and “Pioneer Project Actard” and “Pioneer Project Achards”. This honor is not only an affirmation of China Mobile and Huawei’s innovative capabilities, but also marks a key breakthrough in self-intelligent network technology from theoretical research to practical application.
Although the concept of self-intelligent networks has a long history, it faces great challenges in turning them from imagination to reality. Traditional network operation and maintenance models often rely on manual operations, are inefficient and expensive, making it difficult to adapt to increasingly complex and dynamic network environments. Faced with the pain points of this industry, China Mobile proposed solutions aim to completely revolutionize the traditional “fireproof” operation and maintenance model.
The end-to-end self-intelligent network operation and maintenance center (DARK NOC) solution won by China Mobile this time focuses on “high-value scenario automation” and greatly improves operation and maintenance efficiency through intelligent means. Assume that when the network fails, the system no longer displays only cold code, but can provide personalized troubleshooting suggestions based on the role and needs of the operator and maintenance personnel, and even simulate the best operational path. When faced with customer complaints or network congestion, the system can automatically adjust base station parameters, accurately locate the fault points, and present the “cause” of the fault in an intuitive and visual way so that the operator can clearly understand the problem.
The innovation of dark NOC solutions is to transform traditional operation and maintenance methods into intelligent operation and maintenance methods, while another award-winning technology, the L4 high-value fault operation and maintenance solution, will focus more on innovation in the technology architecture. This solution innovatively establishes a three-layer architecture of “intelligent network elements + intelligent basic agent + intelligent OSS agent”. This architecture enables seamless connection between devices, middleware and management systems, greatly improving operational and maintenance efficiency. This not only optimizes resource allocation, but also reduces potential operational and maintenance risks.
In the actual application of Guangdong Mobile, the L4 solution showed great results: the total work order was greatly reduced by 42%, the troubleshooting time was reduced by 33%, the automatic diagnosis failure was 90%, and the average repair time (MTTR) was reduced by more than 20%. More importantly, other processes are end-to-end automated besides the operation of the physical site, which leads to the self-intelligent network level jumping from L3.2 to L4, representing a fundamental change in network troubleshooting mode, from “passive response” to “active prevention.” This proactive operation and maintenance ensures maximum network stability and improves user experience.
China Mobile Devices builds industry models by using self-intelligent network technology to “reduce costs and increase efficiency”. As the number of 5G base stations continues to increase, operation and maintenance costs continue to rise. At the same time, users have increasingly high requirements for network quality. By deploying self-intelligent network technology, China Mobile can not only greatly improve operational and maintenance efficiency, but also invest in human resources in high-value enterprises, such as customizing network slicing for enterprises and developing industry AI solutions. From “sales bandwidth” to “sales service”, China Mobile’s transformation has provided important reference for other operators.
It is worth noting that China Mobile Devices is still actively planning a new era of AI+ digitalization. As a key force in providing large-scale computing power, big data and large-scale models, China Mobile has established 13 intelligent computing nodes across the country, providing up to 43 computer functions to support computing power. Through the Jiutian Maas platform, China Mobile has more than 300 industry models and has established an AI capability foundation covering the industrial Internet and other fields. At the same time, as the “operator” that promotes large-scale application of AI, China Mobile Devices has implemented more than 1,000 AI+DICSS solutions in major industries such as energy and government affairs. Among them, benchmark projects (such as the “9-day HAID Accounting and Government Affairs Large”) are leading the improvement of industry intelligence levels. Through these initiatives, China Mobile facilities are building a smarter, more efficient and safer digital ecosystem.
In short, China Mobile devices are gradually reshaping the industry’s value coordinate system with their own smart network as the starting point and computing power network as the fulcrum. It is opening up a new paradigm for digital and intelligent conversions. In this change, China Mobile has proved through practical actions that competition laws in the digital age are always beneficial to leaders and pioneers who dare to innovate and explore. Through continuous technological innovation and application practice, China Mobile will help the industry progress and development.
