August 1st, according to information leaked by blogger Digital Chat Station, OPPO’s upcoming flagship model for the second half of the year, the Find X9 standard version, will feature improvements in user experience.
More specifically, the OPPO Find X9 standard version will adopt the flagship-grade 3D ultrasonic fingerprint module. This technology was previously exclusive to the highest-tier model in last year’s OPPO Find X8 series, the X8 Ultra. Other models in the X8 lineup, including the X8, X8s, X8s+, and X8 Pro, all utilized a short-focus fingerprint recognition system, which presented certain limitations in terms of unlocking experience.
The shift to 3D ultrasonic fingerprint technology is a significant upgrade. Current flagship devices commonly employ this module, and it offers distinct advantages over short-focus solutions. Its superior penetration capability allows for better performance even with water or dirt on the sensor, leading to higher recognition rates. Furthermore, it supports liveness detection, enhancing the overall security of the unlocking process.
In addition to the fingerprint sensor enhancement, the OPPO Find X9 is expected to come standard with 50W wireless charging and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, retaining these features from its predecessor.
It is anticipated that the camera sensor might be updated to a newer CMOS, which would likely result in even more impressive imaging capabilities.
