On the evening of August 11th, Great Wall Motor officially launched the pre-sale of its all-new Tank 500. During the event, Wu Huixiao, CTO of Great Wall Motor, highlighted that the most significant enhancement in the new Tank 500 is its integration of off-road capability, luxury, and intelligent features.
In terms of intelligence, the all-new Tank 500 is equipped with a pioneering far-infrared night vision system. This advanced technology ensures clear imaging capabilities even in complete darkness, glare, fog, or sandstorms, significantly augmenting driver visibility and safety in challenging conditions. The system’s independence from external light sources, coupled with its high recognition accuracy, AI-powered marker rendering, and stability, positions it at the forefront of automotive night vision technology, enabling drivers to see and identify hazards with precision during critical moments.
The intelligent cockpit features the third-generation Coffee OS3, Great Wall Motor’s fully in-house developed intelligent space system. This system is designed for prompt and accurate understanding of user commands, ensuring a seamless and responsive interaction within the cabin. This advanced infotainment and control system further elevates the user experience by offering intuitive control and personalized settings.
Further enhancing the comfort and convenience, the all-new Tank 500 incorporates an improved refrigerator, entertainment screen, and luxurious seating. The 5.4-liter refrigerator, powered by an independent compressor, is capable of serving up to five people simultaneously. Additionally, the rear seats are equipped with an entertainment screen, serving as both a tool for entertaining passengers and a valuable feature for business interactions. The upgraded seating delivers a refined comfort experience, characterized by progressive damping that provides deep softness with excellent support, preventing collapse even after prolonged use.
The interior styling has been updated with a new dual-spoke steering wheel and a column shifter, while the layout of physical buttons on the center console mirrors that of the 2025 Tank 300. These interior refinements contribute to a more modern and functional cabin environment for both the driver and passengers.
The new Tank 500 measures 5078mm in length, 1934mm in width, and 1905mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2850mm. These dimensions remain consistent with the current model, positioning it as a large, luxurious off-road vehicle. Its substantial size, coupled with its off-road pedigree and enhanced luxury features, aims to cater to consumers seeking a premium and capable SUV experience.
