According to a report from Kuaitech on August 24th, digital blogger “Smart Pikachu” revealed that Xiaomi HyperOS 3 will further enhance system smoothness and device interconnection stability.
In addition to improved performance, HyperOS 3 is expected to feature system-level AI integration and a redesigned UI. Future iterations will also adapt to the evolving landscape of larger screen devices.
The imaging capabilities of HyperOS 3 are also slated for an upgrade. The portrait mode is anticipated to be enhanced, with smoother camera zooming and more accurate, natural photo processing.
Earlier reports suggested that Xiaomi had ceased all development work on HyperOS 2 to concentrate its resources and attention on HyperOS 3, aiming for a final sprint to completion. This strategic shift indicates Xiaomi’s commitment to delivering a significant system update with HyperOS 3.
HyperOS 3 is positioned to be a major system overhaul in Xiaomi’s history. It is understood that the new OS will not only be built on the foundation of Android 16 but will also incorporate a series of innovative software features developed by Xiaomi itself. This move signifies Xiaomi’s ambition to differentiate its software experience and provide unique functionalities to its users.
Furthermore, HyperOS 3 is rumored to adopt an “island” feature, introducing an interactive element similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island. This could mean a more dynamic and engaging way for users to interact with notifications and ongoing activities on their devices.
Following Xiaomi’s usual practices, the Xiaomi 16 series is expected to be the first to launch with HyperOS 3. The new flagship devices are anticipated to be unveiled as early as September, marking a significant milestone for both the device hardware and the operating system software.
