On September 5th， according to information from Kuai Keji， JD.com’s internal newsletter， “Hei Ban Bao，” published an article today titled “This is an Invitation Letter from Brother Strong.”
The article recounts that back in 2007， Brother Strong (Liu Qiangdong) organized the first “JD Mall User Meetup.” During that event， he actively listened to sincere suggestions from many users， forging friendships and incorporating valuable feedback that significantly contributed to JD.com’s development.
Nearly 20 years later， JD.com remains committed to its foundational principle of being “user-centric.” Today， the company is reviving its “user meetup” initiative in a new format.
On September 16th， the inaugural “JD.com Wine Tasting Event” will be held at the Beijing Hotel International. Brother Strong will be present， extending an invitation to attendees to enjoy fine wines and foster new connections.
Notably， the first wine tasting event will offer participants complimentary professional tastings of Maotai liquor， along with a complimentary custom dinner experience at the five-star hotel.
However， attendance at this event is subject to a specific requirement.
According to the official announcement， individuals who have booked a stay at the Beijing Hotel International through the JD App， with their stay overlapping the evening of September 16th， will be automatically registered for eligibility. This initiative is scheduled to close registration on September 10th.
JD.com will then randomly select a portion of these eligible users to attend this engaging and flavorful wine tasting event， offering a unique opportunity to meet Brother Strong face-to-face.
Information indicates that the Beijing Hotel International is a large-scale luxury five-star hotel， originally opened in 1987. The hotel spans 130，000 square meters and features 500 guest rooms， complemented by comprehensive business and dining facilities.
Its prime location within the Central Business District， adjacent to key areas like Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing， ensures excellent accessibility and convenience.
Market research from social platforms reveals that current group booking rates for stays at this hotel are generally above one thousand yuan.
