On September 15th, according to Kuaitech, TCL CSOT announced the successful holding of the COB direct display product mass production ceremony for its MLED project at its Suzhou facility.
Concurrently, TCL CSOT’s inaugural Mini LED product, the P1.2 COB display screen, has officially commenced mass production and rolled off the assembly line.
This product advances industry standards through its large-panel design. It offers adjustable brightness ranging from 0 to 800 nits and an impressive contrast ratio of up to 5000:1, making it suitable for applications such as conference rooms, command centers, and surveillance security. The adoption of a large-panel design suggests a strategic move by TCL CSOT to streamline manufacturing processes and potentially reduce costs associated with smaller, individual modules, while also contributing to a more seamless visual experience in large-scale installations.
TCL CSOT stated that this milestone signifies a crucial breakthrough in the industrialization of its MLED display technology, ushering the industry into a new era. This achievement is significant as it demonstrates TCL CSOT’s commitment to leading in cutting-edge display technologies, a market segment characterized by rapid innovation and increasing demand for high-performance visual solutions.
It is understood that TCL CSOT’s MLED project was established in July 2024. Following the project’s commencement and subsequent internal efforts, the company accelerated equipment installation, debugging, and technical validation, ultimately achieving mass production 15 days ahead of the original schedule. This proactive approach highlights TCL CSOT’s operational efficiency and its dedication to rapid market entry for its innovative products.
Mini LED direct display technology, with its advantages of arbitrary splicing, excellent display performance, and high reliability, is gradually expanding its market applications across a more diverse range of use scenarios. The inherent flexibility of Mini LED allows for seamless integration into various sizes and configurations, catering to the growing need for customizable and high-impact visual displays across both commercial and public spaces.
