Redmi has officially announced the standard version of the Redmi K90, and simultaneously commenced its pre-heating campaign, just one day before its release. This comes after several days of teasing the Redmi K90 Pro Max.
The company states that the K90 is Redmi’s strongest standard version to date, boasting a revolutionary enhancement in both texture and craftsmanship, with performance and display pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Furthermore, the K90 standard version shares the same Sound by Bose co-tuning technology as the K90 Pro Max, indicating a focus on an elevated audio experience for a broader range of users.
In terms of exterior design, the K90 standard version adopts the same large horizontal matrix camera deco. However, instead of the speaker found on the right side of the K90 Pro Max’s camera module, it directly features the “Sound by Bose” logo. This subtle differentiation in design might appeal to users who prioritize brand association and aesthetic simplicity over an integrated speaker solution, while still conveying audio quality.
According to Sun Cun, the product manager at Redmi, the K90 standard version is poised to deliver surprises across the board, including its aesthetics, imaging capabilities, and overall user experience. It is positioned as a more balanced contender in the new generation of flagship smartphones, aiming to set a new benchmark for the “gatekeeper” segment of the market.
