On October 23rd, it was reported that during an interaction with Redmi fans, Redmi product manager Sun Cun indicated that this year’s memory prices have risen significantly, suggesting that consumers might need to adjust their expectations regarding the pricing of smartphones.
The upcoming Redmi K90 Pro Max is positioned as a highly capable flagship device within the 4000 yuan price segment. Previously, product manager Sun Cun hinted that its pricing would likely surpass this threshold.
The device is expected to feature a “super-pixel” screen, similar to that found in the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform and will include a substantial 7560mAh battery. Charging capabilities are reported to be robust, with support for 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W reverse charging.
Lu Weibing, President of Xiaomi Group, stated that the Redmi K90 Pro Max will not only continue the K series’ strong performance in areas such as power, battery life, and display but will also achieve comprehensive breakthroughs in core flagship experiences like build quality, imaging, and audio. It is even anticipated that certain aspects may set new industry standards. This emphasis suggests that the K90 Pro Max is not merely an iterative update but a new strategic move by Redmi in the high-end smartphone market, aiming to deliver an uncompromisingly powerful product to consumers.
The official unveiling of this device is scheduled for October 23rd at 7 PM.
