Huawei is set to launch its new router, the Huawei Router X3 Pro Rizhao Jinshan, in November. This device has already been listed on platforms like JD.com, generating significant interest, particularly for its striking aesthetics, which are reportedly the most visually appealing among Huawei’s high-end router offerings and represent a rare design in the industry.
According to blogger “Kan Shan Shu,” the main router unit boasts intelligent lighting effects. These effects are not only customizable but can also be geo-located to dynamically adjust based on local sunset and sunrise times, synchronizing with the weather. This feature elevates the router beyond a mere networking device to an ambient accent piece.
Furthermore, the satellite units can be configured via an app, and both the main and satellite routers support touch-based light effect adjustments, making them suitable for use as bedside ambient lighting.
The packaging also reveals that the Huawei Router X3 Pro Rizhao Jinshan supports Lingxiao PLC (Power Line Communication) for gigabit networking. It is equipped with omnidirectional transparent high-gain antennas and supports Wi-Fi 7+.
Blogger “Kan Shan Shu” further disclosed that this device is the first in the industry to feature 1500Mbps PLC, utilizing third-generation PLC networking technology. This advancement significantly enhances anti-interference capabilities and supports a maximum of 15 satellite routers, promising a robust and scalable mesh network solution.
In terms of coverage, the main router is specified for 120m², with each satellite router covering 30m². A full system can theoretically cover up to 570m².
The router integrates the Xinghan gateway function, allowing it to act as a central controller for whole-house smart devices, facilitating multi-device synergy. This integration suggests a move towards a more unified smart home ecosystem managed through the router.
