The Center of Excellence aims to gather global intelligence resources to accelerate the innovation and commercialization of digital technologies. The Center will rely on China Telecom’s extensive hands-on experience in China’s telecom industry and TM Forum’s extensive international platform resources to establish collaborations with global operators, technology giants, and academic institutions to jointly promote technological advancement and industrialization in the key areas of Cloud Network Integration and Intelligent Operations as well as Intelligent Operations as well as Intelligent Operations (AIPOPS). The collaboration is expected to have a positive impact on the industry as a whole, given China Telecom’s leading position in global telecom standards and frameworks in both the domestic market and the TM Forum.
The core business of the Center of Excellence will focus on four key areas: application innovation, standards environment, project incubation and talent training. By building an open and collaborative global digital ecosystem, the Center of Excellence is committed to facilitating the global technology and standards cycle and injecting new momentum into the development of digital industry talent. This comprehensive strategic layout is more conducive to facilitating the complete transformation of digital technology from R&D to application, and ultimately to the development of the industry.
In the future, the Center of Excellence will actively promote the application of cutting-edge technologies such as Open Operational Architecture (ODA), Self-Intelligent Networking (AN), AI/Network Modeling, etc., with the aim of creating benchmark cases with industry demonstration effects. In addition, the Centers of Excellence will actively participate in the discussion and development of TMF standards and stimulate the innovation potential of the industrial ecosystem and accelerate the transformation and application of innovation results through traditional innovation competitions. This means that the Centers of Excellence will not only focus on technology development, but also concentrate on technology implementation and business value realization.
