Rainwater Technologies reported on June 27 that the Xiaomi Hybrid Flip was released a few days ago. For now, it’s the only very suitable flagship compact foldable phone that aims to offer a user experience compared to the straight flagship.
After the release of the new phone, TCL Huaxing announced that the Xiaomi Hybrid 2’s internal and external screens were supplied exclusively by TCL Huaxing. This marks a further understanding of the strength of TCL Huaxing in the high-end flexible screen space.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 screen uses TCL Huaxing C9 light-emitting material, and both the internal and external screens feature consistent 1.5k resolution at 460ppi, peak brightness of 3200nits, a high refresh rate of 120Hz, and accurate and natural color recovery. The benefits of C9 luminous material are energy efficiency and color expression, which are critical to improving battery life and the visual experience of foldable screen phones. Global DC points effectively minimize low flicker of brightness flicker and reduce visual fatigue. The PWM+DC dimming scheme used in the internal screen combines the advantages of two dimming technologies, namely the use of DC dimming to ensure color accuracy at high brightness and the use of high-frequency PWM to reduce frequency at low brightness. The Rhine River Triple Eye Protection certification also shows that this phone provides a lot of power for eye protection.
