Lamborghini has recently unveiled a teaser for its brand-new limited-edition supercar, the Fenomeno. This highly anticipated vehicle is set to make its official debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August.
The Fenomeno is based on the Lamborghini Revuelto, featuring a completely redesigned exterior and interior. Furthermore, its powertrain has undergone a significant upgrade, boasting a V12 engine paired with a three-electric-motor setup, delivering an impressive maximum output exceeding 1000 horsepower. Production will be strictly limited to just 29 units worldwide.
Although the teaser image shows the new model covered in a black shroud, the underlying lines reveal its distinctive design elements. The front end features a newly sculpted, angular design with larger air intakes for the front luggage compartment, giving it a more aggressive, lower stance. It’s anticipated that the front bumper will be even more pronounced.
Maintaining Lamborghini’s signature “wedge” profile, the overall silhouette retains hallmark design cues such as the broad rear fenders and the central cooling vents, all contributing to its potent sense of sportiness and aggressive character.
According to reliable sources, the Fenomeno’s relationship with the Revuelto mirrors that of the Centenario and Aventador. This suggests a more radical and innovative evolution of the existing family design language.
In terms of its powertrain, the Fenomeno integrates a V12 engine with a trio of electric motors, resulting in a combined maximum output exceeding 1000 horsepower. This advanced hybrid system signifies Lamborghini’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of performance and efficiency.
For context, the Lamborghini Reventon utilized a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine in conjunction with a plug-in hybrid system comprising three electric motors (two at the front and one at the rear), producing a system combined output of 1015 horsepower. The Fenomeno’s successor is therefore expected to build upon this formidable performance baseline.
The new supercar is equipped with a transversely mounted 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and a four-wheel-drive system featuring torque vectoring. These technical specifications are expected to enable a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of just 2.5 seconds and a 0-200 km/h (0-124 mph) time of under 7 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 350 km/h (217 mph). This level of performance places the Fenomeno firmly in the hypercar category, promising an exceptionally thrilling driving experience.
It is evident that the Fenomeno will not only match but potentially surpass the performance benchmarks set by its predecessors, offering drivers an even more extreme and exhilarating driving sensation. The limited production run further enhances its exclusivity and appeal to collectors and enthusiasts alike.
