According to the Quanzhou Fire Department, they received a call from citizens saying that a python was found on the street, which caused some panic among the surrounding residents. Given the potential dangers that pythons may pose, it is a wise choice to call the police in time.
After receiving the alarm, the firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and found a large python entrenched on the side of the road. Under the shadow of night, the python seemed to be relaxingly stretching its body and feeling the cool breeze of the night. The appearance of pythons on urban streets may be related to changes in the urban ecological environment, or their habitat has been disturbed by some kind of interference.
To ensure the safety of the surrounding residents, the firefighters wore professional protective equipment and carried snake traps, carefully approaching the python. They seized the opportunity, took decisive action, and successfully controlled the python with precision. Then they quickly transferred it to a relatively open and safe area, put it in a pre-prepared bag, and handed it over to the local wildlife conservation association in time. This treatment method can not only prevent pythons from hurting people, but also ensure the safety of animals.
After preliminary measurement, the length of this python is about 3 meters and weighs 38 kilograms. At present, this python has been properly placed and cared for. The Wildlife Conservation Association will conduct further inspections and evaluations, and decide on appropriate release locations or other necessary measures based on the health status and specific circumstances of the python. As the python was safely transferred, the lives of local residents gradually returned to peace.
