On June 24th, Iflytek held its Summer AI Learning Machine Launch Conference. The conference not only showcased the many breakthroughs in AI learning machine capabilities, but also formally launched the new Curriculum Standards System curriculum developed independently by Iflytek and announced 16 key features that will be available over the summer to deliver a more personalized learning experience and provide students with a more personalized learning experience.
During the press conference, Zhang Jidong, vice president of Iflytek, shared the company’s outstanding achievements in the field of college entrance exam research. Iflytek’s Spark model performed well on many mainstream media assessments for this year’s college entrance exams. Due to the relatively small parameter scales, the best results were achieved on a number of topics and praised as “the best test for understanding university entrance exams”. This reflects Iflytek’s deep expertise in natural language processing and knowledge graph construction, and validates the enormous potential of AI technology to improve the quality of education.
One of the highlights of the upgraded Iflytek AI Learning Machine is the newly added AI 1-1 Interactive Counseling Plan feature. This feature simulates real-life interactions between teachers and students and accurately diagnoses students’ weaknesses in knowledge acquisition through multiple rounds of dialog. What’s more, it can tailor a student’s personalized learning path based on individual differences in learning ability, study habits, available time, and local exam priorities. Zhai Jibo, General Manager of Iflytek AI Learning Machine’s product line, emphasized that personalized learning plans not only provide e-learning aids and tools to ask questions, but also involve having an exclusive private tutor to provide astute guidance.
The AI Smart Volume Grouping feature has also been heavily upgraded. As the feature was first launched in April 2024, it can effectively improve learning by generating personalized and useful documents based on students’ test preparation needs, incorporating key points and knowledge weaknesses from regional high-frequency tests. The upgraded AI 1-to-1 Quiz Tutoring expands the breadth of topics it supports with the addition of elementary math, middle school and math topics. Also, the latest large-scale modeling technology incorporates structured questions and guides students to actively consider heuristics and ultimately achieve learning outcomes through analogies. This instructional approach focuses more on developing students’ independent learning and logical thinking skills.
iflytek continues to deepen the building of its self-developed curriculum system and has launched the AI 1-to-1 Interactive Program, designed to inspire students to learn through immersive interactions that enable them to learn and grow through active interaction. The upgraded AI 1 to 1 Interactive Curriculum covers the entire arena from kindergarten to middle school. The program covers all aspects such as Educational Initiation, Habit Development, Overall Development, Competency Improvement, Careful Examination Preparation and Academic Improvement. Each learning scenario is equipped with a corresponding systematic curriculum to meet the learning needs of students of different ages.
Notably, Iflytek also unveiled new stand-alone curriculum standardized system lessons at the press conference. Each lesson is controlled from 5 to 15 minutes and is energized and fun in a variety of interactive formats with integrated after-school training to ensure learning outcomes. Zhai Jibo describes the 7 major steps and 30 processes involved in moving from the planning formula to the final version of each course. Each linked output required 7 rounds of rigorous review and was tested by over 1,000 people to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the course. This rigorous course development process reflects Iflytek’s continued excellence in educational products.
In addition, the Iflytek AI Learning Machine will enable elementary school math textbooks, an AI Teacher 1-1 program, and a Stress Relief Oasis feature that focuses on students’ mental health. These 16 functional upgrades cover the entire school stage from kindergarten to high school, fully demonstrating Iflytek’s comprehensive layout in K12 education. These new features will reportedly be available for free to regular users from mid-July, reflecting Iflytek’s user-centered service concept.
