According to a report by Kuaitech on June 30th, Xiaomi’s administrative public account announced the launch of a batch of youth apartments for its employees in Beijing and Nanjing. These apartments aim to provide more convenient and economical living options, thereby alleviating the financial pressure on employees.
All apartment types are priced individually, with an average monthly rent of 1999 Yuan. Employees who sign leases between July 2025 and June 2028 are eligible for a preferential housing discount.
The Beijing youth apartments are strategically located on Dingsi Road, Changping District, with the special police force to the east, a police family compound to the west, and Bishui Manor to the north. Analysts suggest that this prime location minimizes commuting stress for employees working in nearby tech hubs.
The Beijing facility offers a total of 2658 units, with the primary configuration being 29-square-meter studio apartments. Each unit is equipped with an independent bathroom and smart home devices, allowing for personalized smart home setups. The design emphasizes a division between living and resting areas to cater to diverse lifestyle needs.
The apartments facilitate seamless access for employees, allowing them to use their Xiaomi employee ID for “one-card swipe” access. Furthermore, a 24/7 online concierge service is available, offering convenient features such as one-click repair requests, moving assistance, and package delivery/pickup services. This integrated service approach is a significant benefit for employee convenience.
Regarding transportation, the apartments provide shuttle bus services directly to the Xiaomi campus. The distance to the main Xiaomi Science Park is approximately 10 kilometers, while the Xiaomi Smart Industrial Park is only about 3 kilometers away, ensuring convenient commutes for employees.
The leasing of the Beijing youth apartments is being rolled out in phases:
June 29th – July 12th: For fresh graduates of the 2025 cohort.
July 13th – July 19th: For fresh graduates of the 2025 and 2024 cohorts.
July 20th – July 26th: For graduates of the 2025, 2024, and 2023 cohorts.
Remaining units will subsequently be offered to new hires within three years of graduation and fresh graduates from the 2022 cohort.
The Xiaomi Nanjing youth apartments are situated in the Hexi New Town CBD in Jianye District and comprise 566 units. These apartments feature a spacious two-bedroom, one-living room layout of 55 square meters, making them suitable for shared living. The proximity to amenities and the tech park is a significant advantage.
The apartments are within walking distance of a subway station and are located just 100 meters from the Xiaomi Nanjing Technology Park, significantly reducing commuting time for employees working at the park. This convenient location is a key factor in attracting employees.
The leasing period for the Nanjing apartments is from July 1st to July 30th, and applications are open to all employees.
