According to information from blogger Digital Chat Station on July 12th, major manufacturers have begun launching “Turbo” series products, intensifying competition in the mid-range product segment. This trend is also accompanied by continuous innovation in battery technology, setting new industry records.
In response to this market development, REDMI General Manager Wang Teng commented, stating, “It brings to mind a well-known advertising slogan: ‘Some imitate my face, some imitate my noodles.'”
It is understood that this slogan originates from Uni-President Int. Corporation. Uni-President was the first to introduce its “Old Cauldron Pickled Cabbage” series into the market, which subsequently led many other enterprises to follow suit with similar instant noodle products.
Uni-President then enlisted renowned host Wang Han to film an advertisement, and the classic tagline, “Some imitate my face, some imitate my noodles,” gained widespread popularity across the nation.
Addressing the launch of “Turbo” phones by various manufacturers, Wang Teng had previously stated that leadership is often demonstrated by being imitated, indicating that REDMI’s products have been improving over the years and are prompting collective progress within the industry.
It is understood that the REDMI Turbo series evolved from the REDMI Note Turbo series and later became an independent product line. Products released include the REDMI Turbo 3, REDMI Turbo 4, and REDMI Turbo 4 Pro.
The REDMI Turbo 4 Pro, specifically, has achieved remarkable market success, surpassing one million units in cumulative sales within less than a month of its launch. This makes it the most popular “Turbo” phone in the industry currently.
