July 16th, reports indicate that the situation surrounding “Zong Fuli being sued by three half-siblings” continues to develop.
Recently, the media outlet “Caijing Wuji” exclusively interviewed Zong Ze, who is not only the younger brother of Zong Qinghou but also Zong Fuli’s paternal uncle.
According to disclosures from “Caijing Wuji,” Zong Ze candidly stated during their conversation:
Zong Fuli lacks magnanimity and generosity. As an elder in the Zong family, he believes that since she inherited everything from her father, there’s no need to be so ruthless. After all, these are also legacies left by her father. Even if her father had left them no inheritance, she would still have an obligation to be responsible for them. Moreover, her desire to claim even the bequests her father made to them demonstrates a lack of generosity.
He questioned her motives, wondering why she needs so much money, as money cannot be used in heaven. He recounted that he had advised her father during his passing to “be low-key and do good deeds.” He also noted concerns that others might perceive his actions as betraying Zong Fuli, and cautioned that if things continue this way, everything could be ruined under her management.
Discussing Zong Fuli’s personality, Zong Ze did not mince words, describing her as “selfish since childhood, and unmindful of her kin.”
It is noteworthy that in his exchange with “Caijing Wuji,” Zong Ze also highlighted three major challenges confronting Wahaha: product obsolescence, channel aging, and personnel stagnation. While Zong Fuli may recognize these issues, he opined that she lacks effective countermeasures.
Zong Ze expressed his willingness to contribute to Wahaha’s revitalization if the state-owned shares were to acquire her stake, stating, “If Wahaha’s state-owned shares were to acquire her (Zong Fuli’s) shares, I would be willing to step in and contribute to Wahaha’s revitalization.”
It is worth mentioning that, as of now, Hangzhou State-owned Assets, with a 46% shareholding, remains the largest shareholder of Wahaha Group. In July of the previous year, prior to these events coming to light, Yang Fuli’s resignation letter as Chairman of Wahaha circulated rapidly online, drawing considerable attention. In response, Wahaha Group stated that it was conducting verification.
However, Zong Ze, Zong Qinghou’s biological brother, publicly shared his views on the matter on his WeChat Moments, considering Zong Fuli’s resignation to be a positive development.
