As of July 20th, ASUS has launched a series of products in collaboration with Hatsune Miku. This limited edition ROG Strix RTX 5080 graphics card, inspired by the virtual idol Hatsune Miku, is now available on JD.com for ¥16,999 and is scheduled to go on sale on August 30th.
The design of this collaborative graphics card prominently features Hatsune Miku’s signature colors, magical green and peach pink. It adheres to a Y2K aesthetic, successfully blending the iconic elements of ROG and Hatsune Miku. This approach aims to appeal not only to PC enthusiasts but also to the dedicated fanbase of Hatsune Miku, making it a collectible item that bridges two popular cultural spheres. The choice of Y2K styling further suggests a nod to nostalgia and a vibrant, energetic visual identity, aligning well with Hatsune Miku’s energetic persona.
The graphics card boasts a sturdy metal exterior, artfully incorporating dot-matrix silhouette elements of the ROG mascot and Miku. Accents of hearts and musical notes, along with exclusive collaborative logos, further enhance its unique appeal. This meticulous detailing signifies a premium product that goes beyond mere functionality, offering a visually rich experience for the user.
The backplate of the graphics card features an exquisite custom illustration of both the ROG mascot and Miku together. The top section is also adorned with custom artwork depicting the duo, complemented by RGB lighting strips that support Aura Sync for synchronized lighting effects. This thoughtful integration of character art directly onto the hardware elevates the collectible value and aesthetic appeal.
In terms of cooling, this graphics card is equipped with a four-fan design. Three axial-flow fans on the front, coupled with an additional auxiliary fan on the rear, contribute to a 20% improvement in airflow efficiency. This advanced cooling solution is crucial for maintaining the performance of a high-end GPU like the RTX 5080, especially under heavy load, ensuring sustained peak performance and longevity.
Software-wise, it comes bundled with a custom Hatsune Miku version of GPU Tweak III control software. All overclocking settings, thermal monitoring, and power management interfaces are integrated with Hatsune Miku-themed elements. This thematic consistency extends the collaborative experience into the software realm, providing a cohesive user interface for managing the graphics card’s performance.
Regarding other specifications, the graphics card measures 357.6 x 149.3 x 76mm and is 3.8 slots thick. It is equipped with three DisplayPort 2.1b and two HDMI 2.1b ports.
