On July 22nd, according to Speed Tech, a man who was driving without a license and under the influence of alcohol, despite his audacious plea for “another chance,” ultimately faced the full force of the law.
A case disclosed by the “Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security” shows that around 7:50 AM on June 1st, in Urumqi, Xinjiang, traffic police conducted a routine inspection of a car. The driver, a man, forcefully attempted to evade the inspection and was subsequently apprehended by the police based on his driving trajectory.
Breathalyzer tests revealed that the man’s blood alcohol content reached 113mg/100ml, indicating suspected drunk driving. Furthermore, the traffic police observed that he was wearing slippers while driving.
Upon seeing the test results, the man requested another test, stating, “I want to blow again, hoping to get below 80.”
The traffic police then proceeded to collect a blood sample as per regulations. The results confirmed his blood alcohol content to be 86mg/100ml, definitively confirming drunk driving. During the verification of his information, the police discovered that he had not obtained a motor vehicle driver’s license.
Ultimately, the man was fined 1500 yuan for drunk driving and prohibited from obtaining a motor vehicle driver’s license for 5 years.
In addition to these penalties, due to aggravating circumstances such as evading the checkpoint and driving without a license, a criminal case was initiated against him for suspected dangerous driving. The case has since been transferred to the procuratorial authority.
