As of July 27th, according to Apple China’s official website, the Apple Store in Dalian’s Baineiancheng will cease operations on August 9th, 2025, at 20:00.
This store, which opened on October 24th, 2015, was the first Apple Store in Dalian and the second in Liaoning Province. Apple has not yet disclosed the specific reasons for the closure or its future plans.
Some netizens have speculated that the decline in foot traffic at Baineiancheng mall in recent years, coupled with the withdrawal of other major brands, may have contributed to Apple’s decision to close its store.
Coinciding with the closure of the Dalian Baineiancheng store, Apple will open its Apple Store in Shenzhen’s Qianhai Yifangcheng on August 16th. This will mark the third Apple Store in Shenzhen, with the other two located at Intime Mall and MixC Shenzhen.
It is a customary practice for Apple to offer unique commemorative gifts to customers on the day a new store opens.
Currently, Apple operates 49 Apple Stores in China, including the upcoming Qianhai Yifangcheng store in Shenzhen.
These stores are strategically located in various cities across China, including Shanghai, Tianjin, Zhengzhou (Henan), Ningbo (Zhejiang), Hangzhou (Zhejiang), Wenzhou (Zhejiang), Jinan (Shandong), Qingdao (Shandong), Guangzhou (Guangdong), Shenzhen (Guangdong), Wuhan (Hubei), Changsha (Hunan), Kunming (Yunnan), Xiamen (Fujian), Fuzhou (Fujian), Dalian (Liaoning), Shenyang (Liaoning), Nanjing (Jiangsu), Wuxi (Jiangsu), Suzhou (Jiangsu), Chengdu (Sichuan), Chongqing, and Beijing.
