On July 31st, according to Kuai Keji, while a low-probability event, vehicles can indeed combust after an accident. Recently, a netizen encountered a perilous situation.
Footage captured by the netizen’s personal action camera shows that there were three motorcycles traveling on the same road, including the netizen’s. The first motorcycle had two female riders.
However, while passing under a bridge, the motorcycle encountered a large patch of water on a curve. Due to the rider’s high speed, she was caught off guard, lost control, and fell. The motorcycle skidded for dozens of meters along the ground.
The passenger fell to the side but was able to get up on her own shortly after, appearing to be largely unharmed. Unfortunately, the rider was not so fortunate.
It is suspected that gasoline leaked, causing the motorcycle to suddenly erupt in flames. The rider, failing to move away immediately, had her clothing ignited, and in a desperate act of self-preservation, she quickly got up and ran backward.
Following the accident, the two individuals on the middle motorcycle immediately braked to provide assistance. One of them opened a bottle of water and attempted to douse the flames on the rider, but the small amount of water was insufficient to fully extinguish the fire.
The netizen capturing the video remained remarkably calm. They promptly opened their motorcycle’s seat compartment and retrieved an unfinished bottle of “MaoDian” beverage. Unscrewing the cap, they poured it onto the rider’s burning pants, which successfully extinguished the visible flames and prevented more severe injuries.
As for the vehicle that caught fire, it appeared to be completely totaled. Fortunately, the riders were safe, which was the greatest blessing amidst the misfortune.
This incident serves as a crucial reminder for all motorcycle riders to maintain appropriate speeds. Two-wheeled vehicles offer far less stability than four-wheeled ones, making them highly susceptible to falls. While financial losses are secondary, personal safety is paramount.
