On August 5th, it was reported that the first wagon from Luxeed, the Luxeed S9T Black Panther Edition, made its debut. Richard Yu, Huawei’s Executive Director and Chairman of the Terminal BG, commented with a simple yet impactful, “Cool!”.
The Luxeed S9T Black Panther Edition is primarily finished in a deep and textured “Liquid Gold Black.” It also offers an optional Obsidian suite. This suite accentuates the vehicle by replacing the chrome trim on the front fascia and around the windows with blacked-out elements. Further enhancing its sporty appeal, the car features black wheels paired with red brake calipers, projecting a strong sense of performance.
In terms of dimensions, the Luxeed S9T measures 5160mm in length, 2005mm in width, and 1492mm in height, with a substantial wheelbase of 3050mm. This generous size positions it firmly in the premium large car segment, offering ample interior space and a commanding road presence, which is characteristic of executive-class wagons.
The new model will be available in two powertrain options: all-electric and extended-range electric. The all-electric version is equipped with a 100kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC comprehensive range of up to 801km. This extended range addresses range anxiety, a crucial factor for consumers considering electric vehicles, especially for longer journeys.
The extended-range version will feature battery packs of either 37kWh or 53.4kWh. The CLTC pure electric range can reach up to 354km, with a maximum CLTC comprehensive range extending to an impressive 1305km. This dual-option strategy caters to a wider audience, offering flexibility for those who may not always have immediate access to charging infrastructure.
The Luxeed S9T will be among the first vehicles to feature the HUAWEI ADS 4 intelligent driving system. This advanced system is equipped with Huawei’s 192-line lidar, high-precision solid-state lidar, and 4D millimeter-wave radar. The combination of these sophisticated sensors significantly enhances the vehicle’s autonomous driving capabilities and active safety features, reflecting Huawei’s strong technological backing in intelligent mobility.
