The recent highly popular Korean cosplayer, Yasal, has become a focal point of discussion following her performance at ChinaJoy.
Many netizens have criticized the arrangements made by Yasal’s domestic agency in China. The complaints center around allegations that the agency dictated photo and video sessions with specific individuals, thereby curtailing Yasal’s opportunities for spontaneous fan interactions.

Today, Yasal announced via a public statement that she has officially terminated her collaboration with her current Chinese agency. This decision appears to be a direct response to the fan backlash and concerns raised about her management during the event.
Yasal stated, “The situation that everyone has been worried about will no longer occur! I am truly sorry for causing everyone concern. Moving forward, I will engage in activities more proactively to ensure everyone is more satisfied. I hope for your continued support! Thank you all.” This statement conveys her intent to regain fan trust and improve future engagement.

It is worth noting that on August 4th, Yasal, along with two other Korean cosplayers, released a video to address prior concerns. In the video, they clarified that their accounts are not managed by a third-party agency and that any IP discrepancies were due to the use of an eSIM card upon entry into China. They assured fans that all their accounts are under their direct control.
Netizens have interpreted Yasal’s statement about terminating her “Chinese agency” as referring to her event or management agency, rather than an agency handling her online accounts. This distinction is crucial as it suggests the core issue lies in the on-ground execution of her appearances rather than the administration of her digital presence.
