On August 17th, according to Cctv Finance & Economics’ “Dialogue” program, Huawei’s Executive Director and Consumer Business Group Chairman, Richard Yu, discussed the development of the HarmonyOS and its ecosystem.
Notably, Tencent has now migrated over 50 of its products to the HarmonyOS.
Richard Yu stated that following the re-optimization for HarmonyOS, the game Honor of Kings has seen its performance increased by over 20% compared to the previous HarmonyOS version. He emphasized, “It’s quite an achievement to see a game’s performance boosted by more than 20%.” This significant improvement highlights the effectiveness of the collaborative optimization efforts between Huawei and Tencent.
“This is the result of joint optimization by our team and Tencent’s team. Compared to HarmonyOS 4.0, the performance of Honor of Kings on HarmonyOS 5.0 has increased by over 20% on the same mobile device,” Yu Chengdong added. This level of improvement demonstrates the advancements in HarmonyOS’s underlying technology and its capability to enhance application performance.
The HarmonyOS version of Honor of Kings was officially launched in January of this year. Built upon the Ark Engine, it supports a 120Hz high refresh rate, resulting in smoother skill execution and more fluid and vibrant special effects. This technical enhancement contributes significantly to the improved gaming experience.
Furthermore, players can directly log into the HarmonyOS version of Honor of Kings using their existing Android accounts without the need for re-registration. All game assets are fully preserved, ensuring a seamless transition for users.
The account interoperability and asset inheritance mechanism alleviates concerns for players regarding data loss or the need to re-accumulate progress when switching between systems, a crucial factor for user retention and satisfaction in the gaming ecosystem.
