Starting late September, flagship devices equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset are set to debut. Previously leaked information indicated that prominent 2K straight screen smartphones featuring this flagship processor would include models like the iQOO 15 and the REDMI K90 Pro. Now, Realme has joined this exclusive club of 2K screen devices.
Blogger “Digital Chat Station” has revealed detailed specifications for the upcoming Realme GT8 Pro. This device is slated to feature a 2K straight display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship platform. Furthermore, it boasts a rear camera system with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, complemented by master-level symmetrical dual speakers, a large X-axis linear motor, and 3D ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensing. These specifications suggest a comprehensive upgrade in screen quality, imaging capabilities, and audio performance.
The same blogger previously reported that the 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens on the Realme GT8 Pro is unique among its sub-brand’s flagship iterations. This sensor, identified as the Samsung HP5, features a 0.5μm pixel size and a large 1/1.56-inch sensor. It supports DCG-HDR technology, which is expected to significantly enhance its telephoto capabilities, offering users improved zoom clarity and detail.
It is worth noting that Realme is expected to launch both the standard Realme GT8 and the GT8 Pro concurrently. Both of these flagship models are slated for an official release in October of this year. The introduction of a 2K straight screen, coupled with a high-resolution periscope telephoto lens, positions the Realme GT8 Pro as a strong contender in the premium smartphone market, aiming to offer a compelling visual and photographic experience.
