Tech8 Technology, August 30th News: The official Weibo account of Hongmeng Zhixing released the six body colors of the all-new AITO M7 this morning.
According to the introduction, the color palette draws inspiration from “24-hour colors” and includes colors such as Island Blue, Warm Cloud White, Prairie Green, Coral Red, Stellar Blue, and Gilded Black.
Compared to the AITO M9 and M8, the all-new M7 is positioned at a lower price point and targets a broader demographic of young families. Consequently, its design and color options are more fashion-forward, aiming to appeal to this market segment.
The new vehicle is not small in size, with dimensions measuring 5080mm in length, 1999mm in width, and 1780mm in height. The wheelbase extends to an impressive 3030mm, a significant increase of 210mm compared to the current model’s 2820mm. The vehicle will be available in both five-seat and six-seat configurations. This extended wheelbase is crucial for improving interior space and ride comfort, particularly for a family-oriented SUV, and it suggests a focus on passenger well-being.
It continues to be positioned as a traditional SUV with a generally boxy profile. The vehicle will feature semi-hidden door handles, similar to those found on the M8. These handles integrate both electronic and mechanical unlocking mechanisms, enhancing safety redundancy to ensure security in the event of extreme collisions. This dual-mode unlocking system further emphasizes a commitment to user safety and operational reliability.

The interior has undergone a comprehensive upgrade. The central control screen has been enlarged from 15.6 to 16.1 inches, boasting a 3K resolution for enhanced visual clarity. A new zero-gravity seat for the driver has been added, which, in conjunction with the electric adjustment of the steering wheel, offers a novel one-touch recline experience for ultimate comfort. For rear passengers, a ceiling-mounted entertainment screen has been incorporated, and the vehicle is equipped with a car-specific cool and warm box, further enhancing the cabin’s convenience and luxury features.

The entire AITO M7 lineup comes standard with Huawei’s Kunlun ADS 4.0 intelligent driver-assistance system. Notably, the lower trim levels will debut an industry-first in-cabin lidar vision, which is expected to enable urban Navigating Conscious Assistance (NCA) capabilities. This integration of advanced sensing technology is a significant step towards achieving more sophisticated autonomous driving in complex urban environments.
The range-extended version will continue to be powered by a 1.5T engine serving as the range extender, with a maximum power output of 115 kilowatts. The rear-wheel-drive version will have a maximum power output of 227kW, while the all-wheel-drive version boasts a maximum power output of 392kW (consisting of 165kW for the front motor and 227kW for the rear motor). Both configurations will utilize batteries provided by CATL. This strategic partnership with CATL ensures the use of reliable and high-performance battery technology.
The pure electric version is expected to be built on an 800V architecture and will also be available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants. The rear-wheel-drive version will feature a maximum drive motor power of 227kW, while the all-wheel-drive version will have a combined power of 160kW (front) + 227kW (rear). Both pure electric models will come standard with CATL’s ternary lithium batteries and support ultra-fast charging, aligning with the growing demand for efficient and convenient EV charging solutions.
