On September 4th, UBTECH announced it has secured a procurement contract valued at 250 million RMB for its humanoid robot products and solutions from a renowned domestic enterprise. This contract represents the largest deal for humanoid robots globally to date.
The contract primarily focuses on the new generation Walker S2 humanoid robot, with UBTECH set to commence delivery within this year. The Walker S2, launched in July, features the world’s first autonomous battery swapping technology, enabling continuous 24/7 operation.
According to publicly available data, UBTECH’s Walker series of humanoid robots has secured contracts totaling nearly 400 million RMB, including approximately 50 million RMB in orders for the already delivered H1 model. This figure does not encompass the orders for the “Tiangong Walker,” a full-size human-shaped robot for scientific research and education, jointly launched with the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center in March.
UBTECH has established collaborations with prominent companies such as BYD, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd., Geely Auto, FAW-Volkswagen Qingdao, Audi FAW, BAIC BJEV, Foxconn, and SF Express. Its industrial humanoid robot, the Walker S series, has been deployed in numerous factories worldwide for practical training and application. This significant contract for the Walker S2 is expected to greatly enhance UBTECH’s capabilities in applying humanoid robots in real-world scenarios. The ability of the Walker S2 to operate continuously, coupled with its advanced features, positions it as a strong contender for industrial automation solutions. Securing such a substantial contract also validates UBTECH’s technological advancements and market potential in the rapidly evolving humanoid robotics sector. The widespread deployment and positive feedback from these collaborations underscore the practical value and reliability of UBTECH’s robots.
