According to Kuaikeji on September 22nd, the official OPPO ODC 2025 website indicates that OPPO will hold the ColorOS 16 launch event and OPPO Developer Conference on October 15th.
The highlight of this conference will be the brand new ColorOS 16. Previously, Chen Xi, the Design Director of ColorOS, showcased the fresh animations for ColorOS 16.
It is understood that ColorOS 16 will upgrade the Android underlying system to Android 16 and continue to optimize animation rendering and resource allocation. The seamless and fluent animation effects, with continuous app opening and interruption, provide a coherent user experience without visible frame drops.
In addition, ColorOS 16 will also upgrade the Tide Engine and Aurora Engine, resolving screen flickering issues caused by resource conflicts through a parallel multi-threaded response architecture and a dynamic scheduling mechanism. This technical advancement aims to provide a smoother and more stable visual experience, a crucial aspect for user satisfaction in mobile operating systems.
ColorOS 16 has already opened for early access. Users who pass the review can experience the ColorOS 16 Beta version in advance. The supported devices for recruitment include OnePlus 13, OnePlus 13T, OPPO Find X8 series, and OPPO Find N5. This early access program is a common strategy for OS developers to gather feedback and identify potential issues before a widespread public release, ensuring a polished final product.
The OPPO Find X9 series, set to launch in October, will come pre-installed with the all-new ColorOS 16 out of the box. This signifies OPPO’s commitment to showcasing their latest software advancements on their flagship hardware, offering users the most integrated and refined experience from the start.
