Xiaomi announced on September 24th that the Xiaomi 17 Pro series will feature the all-new Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery. This battery utilizes an L-shaped encapsulated bionic stacked battery technology with an ultra-high silicon content of 16%. It supports 100W Xiaomi Surge wired fast charging and 50W Xiaomi Surge wireless fast charging.
In addition to the Pro series, Xiaomi Partner Lu Weibing also introduced that the battery life improvement for the standard version of the Xiaomi 17 is also quite impressive, setting a new record for the series. It achieves a comprehensive DOU of up to 1.83 days. This represents a significant leap in its endurance capabilities.
According to previous leaks, the battery capacity for the entire Xiaomi 17 series has been significantly increased, leading in its size category among flagship phones. The specific capacities are as follows:
Xiaomi 17: 7000mAh battery
Xiaomi 17 Pro: 6300mAh battery
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: 7500mAh battery

The Xiaomi 17, in particular, is breaking new ground by equipping a 6.3-inch flagship with a 7000mAh battery for the first time. This addresses a major pain point for users who prefer smaller form factors but still demand excellent battery life, effectively eliminating range anxiety for this segment of the market.
While the Xiaomi 17 Pro has a slightly smaller capacity, it still sets a new benchmark for 6.3-inch straight-screen flagships, ensuring that battery performance will no longer be a compromise.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi 17 series also announced full compatibility with the 100W PPS universal charging protocol. This means that both Xiaomi chargers and third-party chargers can achieve full-speed fast charging, offering users greater flexibility and convenience.
