Honor’s product manager, Li Kun, has revealed the AnTuTu benchmark scores for the upcoming Honor Magic 8 series, which have surpassed 4.16 million points. This achievement marks a new historical record for smartphone performance in the industry.
This score is notably higher than that of the vivo X300 Pro, which is equipped with the Dimensity 9500 chipset, and achieved a recent room-temperature benchmark of 4.12 million points.
The Honor Magic 8 series is slated for a release in October and is anticipated to be among the first devices to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus flagship processor.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus is built using TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process. Its CPU architecture continues with a “2+6” all-big-core design, featuring two Oryon v2 super-large cores running at a peak frequency of 4.6GHz, and six large cores maintaining a high frequency of 3.62GHz. For graphics, it integrates a more powerful new-generation Adreno GPU clocked at 1.2GHz.

Honor has also recently showcased the actual device for the Honor Magic 8 series, featuring a distinctive “Sky Blue Glaze” colorway. This design projects an elegant and refined aesthetic reminiscent of Song dynasty porcelain.
The back of the phone even incorporates unique crackle patterns, similar to those found on aged porcelain, which subtly appear and disappear with the play of light. This fusion of traditional Chinese culture with cutting-edge technology is a significant design highlight.

Furthermore, Honor is extending this high-performance experience to its tablet line. The Honor Magic Pad 3 Pro will also be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, enabling tablets to match the performance of the latest flagship smartphones and pushing the boundaries of Android tablet capabilities.
In a noteworthy consumer incentive, Honor is launching a “Regret-Free” trade-in program. Customers who trade in their current flagship phones, equipped with processors such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, Dimensity 9500, or Apple’s A19 series, for a new Honor Magic 8 will receive an additional subsidy of up to 1000 yuan after system evaluation.

Wang Ban, President of Honor Sales and Service, stated: “We want to provide you with a more confident and relaxed choice, allowing you to make decisions with peace of mind and without hesitation.”
