September 30th News: According to media reports, with the arrival of the National Day holiday, Beijing is experiencing a severe evening rush hour before the holiday, with a significant increase in road traffic. The peak outbound travel is expected from the afternoon of September 30th to the morning of October 1st. The traffic flow is described as resembling white and red dragons swimming towards each other.
It is understood that October 1st, the first day of the holiday, will see significant traffic pressure in the outbound direction. The total traffic volume for the day is predicted to reach the holiday’s peak, with concentrated pressure on highways heading out of the city between 8 AM and 12 PM, and the most intense period expected between 9 AM and 11 AM.
According to forecasts from relevant departments, the total cross-regional human flow across the society during the holiday is expected to reach 2.36 billion person-times, averaging around 295 million person-times per day. This represents an increase of approximately 3.2% compared to the same period last year. Consequently, sectors such as transportation, catering and entertainment, hotels, and scenic spots are anticipated to experience a surge in visitor numbers.
Travelers are reminded to pay close attention to meteorological and disaster warning information for their destinations before setting out. It is advisable to plan travel times and routes rationally, adhere to safety regulations at scenic spots, participate cautiously in high-risk activities, and avoid visiting “unregulated” or risky areas to ensure personal and family safety.
