On the afternoon of October 11th, Samsung held a press conference to officially launch the new generation of its “Heart to the World” W series: the Samsung W26.
Regarding pricing, the Samsung W26 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version is priced at 16,999 yuan, and the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage version is priced at 18,999 yuan.
The Samsung W26 features an upgraded enhanced armor aluminum frame and an ultra-thin, precision-engineered armor hinge. This design contributes to a slimmer and more agile profile when the phone is closed, while simultaneously ensuring robust and reliable protection.
The frame utilizes advanced forging techniques to significantly enhance its strength. The upgraded enhanced armor aluminum frame offers superior resistance to impact and deformation, effectively mitigating damage from everyday bumps, drops, and other accidental incidents. This provides a solid and dependable protective barrier for the device, safeguarding its integrity from multiple angles.
Thanks to the new hinge design, the Samsung W26 boasts a mere 4.2mm thickness when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded. The entire device weighs only 215g, making it remarkably light and portable for a foldable device of its caliber.
Beyond its sleek and lightweight design, the Samsung W26 features three camera lenses encircled by shimmering gold bezels. Beneath this, the “Heart to the World” emblem is engraved, exuding a sense of enduring prestige and sophisticated craftsmanship. The device is available in two striking color options: Dawn Red and Obsidian Black, both meticulously chosen to enhance its distinctive identity and premium feel.
In terms of display technology, the Samsung W26 utilizes a second-generation Dynamic AMOLED panel, delivering consistent and vibrant visual performance across both the cover and main screens. It sports a 6.5-inch cover display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and an expansive 8.0-inch main display. Both screens achieve a peak brightness of up to 2600 nits and feature a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The larger foldable screen also boasts an exceptionally shallow crease, ensuring an immersive and seamless viewing experience.
Under the hood, the Samsung W26 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy mobile platform. This high-performance chipset, with its synergistic CPU, GPU, and NPU cores, delivers exceptional graphics processing capabilities and advanced AI enhancements. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the camera system, which includes a 200-megapixel wide-angle main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. The device is equipped with a 4400mAh battery and also supports satellite communication, offering a new level of connectivity.
Furthermore, the Samsung W26 integrates Galaxy AI features, designed to streamline user experience. For instance, users can effortlessly summarize and save lengthy web content, with summaries easily drag-and-dropped into the Samsung Notes application for convenient future reference.
