Following the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max, the first Pro Max model under the Redmi brand has officially arrived.
Today, Lu Weibing announced the all-new K90 series, which includes the K90 and K90 Pro Max. The product launch event has been moved forward, from November to October. This marks the first time the K series will feature a Pro Max version, and it’s also the second Pro Max device from Xiaomi Group this year.
Lu Weibing further emphasized that the group has not only set higher expectations for the K series but also provided the maximum support, elevating the positioning of the K series. He stated:
“We will not limit product definition by price, nor create technical segregation based on brand. We even embrace direct competition with Xiaomi.”
He also expressed that the Redmi K90 Pro Max has a clear and firm mission: “Aiming for a ‘one-time settlement,’ its goal is to dominate the 4000 RMB+ price segment with its superior product capabilities.”
The device is set to build upon the strengths of previous K Pro models in core areas such as performance, battery life, and display, achieving a “stronger becoming stronger” scenario. Furthermore, it aims for comprehensive breakthroughs in flagship core experiences like build quality, imaging, and audio, potentially leading the industry in certain aspects.
Subsequently, Lei Jun reposted this announcement with a “red heart” emoji, signaling his endorsement and excitement for the new device.
Lu Weibing elaborated that the two Pro Max models launched by Xiaomi this year represent a concentrated implementation of Xiaomi’s latest technological achievements. Both the K90 and K90 Pro Max share the same underlying platform and are described as highly innovative, boasting leading technological capabilities.
The Redmi K90 series is slated for release next week.
