iQOO 15 officially launched this evening, October 20th, at a starting price of 4199 RMB.
Pricing details are as follows: 12GB+256GB at 4199 RMB; 12GB+512GB at 4699 RMB; 16GB+256GB at 4499 RMB; 16GB+512GB at 4999 RMB; and 16GB+1TB at 5499 RMB.
At its core, the iQOO 15 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus platform, a significant upgrade for flagship performance. It boasts a 32MP front-facing camera and a versatile rear camera system comprising a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Powering this device is a substantial 7000mAh battery, complemented by 100W wired fast charging. The 6.85-inch Samsung 2K display is a standout feature, pushing display technology forward.
One of the most compelling aspects of the iQOO 15 is its groundbreaking display. It features the world’s first 2K Samsung “Everest” display, co-developed by iQOO and Samsung Display. This panel utilizes iQOO’s most advanced M14 luminous material, renowned for its superior luminous efficiency. Furthermore, the integration of the world’s first 2K LE D OLE D technology contributes to lower power consumption, enhanced brightness, improved environmental sustainability, and a slimmer profile. This advanced display technology signifies a leap in mobile screen innovation, aiming to deliver an unparalleled visual experience.
The display employs a novel non-polarizing display technology. This innovation ensures that light emitted from the screen closely mimics natural light, resulting in a visual experience that is both comfortable and easy on the eyes. This advanced approach to light rendering surpasses traditional circular and linear polarizing technologies, offering a superior level of eye protection and a more naturalistic viewing experience.
Beyond its display, the iQOO 15 introduces the self-developed gaming chip, Q3, marking a significant advancement in mobile gaming hardware. This chip is the industry’s first to integrate full-scene ray tracing, game super-resolution, and game super-frame-rate capabilities on a mobile device, effectively ushering in a new era of mobile graphics processing units (GPUs).
The Q3 chip is positioned as a true “mobile graphics card,” offering industry-exclusive full-scene ray tracing effects for top-tier mobile games. Its QNSS Super Rendering Engine significantly enhances in-game visual fidelity. Coupled with PC-grade AI super-sampling technology, the Q3’s super-resolution capabilities are refined, providing a distinct competitive advantage in visual rendering. This integration of advanced graphics technologies aims to redefine the gaming experience on smartphones.
When running games at their native quality settings, the QNSS engine is designed to reduce power consumption and heat generation, ensuring a more stable and fluid gaming experience, especially in demanding titles. Furthermore, the iQOO 15 offers industry-exclusive true 2K gaming visuals and supports simultaneous 2K resolution and 144fps frame rates for FPS games, with compatibility for seven games featuring native super-resolution and super-frame-rate enhancements. This focus on high-resolution and high-framerate gaming underscores iQOO’s commitment to delivering an immersive and responsive gaming platform.
In terms of thermal management, the iQOO 15 incorporates the industry’s largest single-layer VC vapor chamber. This expansive heat dissipation area ensures more effective coverage of heat sources. The chamber is also infused with 200 million nano-sized graphene oxide particles, which accelerate the vaporization of the internal liquid, thereby enhancing the VC’s heat dissipation efficiency and promoting faster heat spreading and cooling. This robust cooling system is crucial for sustained performance during intensive tasks like gaming.
Signal strength is another area of focus for the iQOO 15, with its antenna design providing 360-degree coverage to ensure stable signal reception. Compared to its predecessor, the iQOO 13, it features an expanded bottom cellular antenna array, enhancing signal reception capabilities and broadening coverage. This design aims to overcome signal obstructions and minimize dead zones, guaranteeing a strong and consistent signal whether the phone is held in one hand vertically or with two hands horizontally.
