On November 1st, at the 2025 GOTC Global Open Source Technology Summit, Kai-Fu Lee, CEO of 01.AI and Chairman of Sinovation Ventures, stated that “AI Agents are not just software tools for CEOs; they are a skill that allows for the rethinking of corporate strategy execution and organizational structure. We can use a building-block approach to stack Agents, forming an effective organizational structure that can execute efficiently.”
In his view, future corporate competitiveness will stem from a large number of valuable data closed loops, with an AI super-employee Agent at the core, continuously iterating and improving.
Lee further elaborated, “Today, a company’s organizational structure is fundamentally unit-based on humans. Gradually, some or all of these human-centric organizations may be replaced by AI Agents. Ultimately, a company’s organizational structure will be largely composed of Agents, with fewer humans. Humans may then focus on complex, orchestrating tasks within the system.”
He believes that “the future will see the emergence of one-person unicorn companies. Such companies will leverage Agents to build valuable businesses, even unicorns, because Agents are tireless, can work 24/7, have no temper, do not argue, and can be replicated.”
