Rain Technology reported on June 27 that according to the official Weibo of “China Energy Construction”, the Xinjiang Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub Project, invested and constructed by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group, has achieved a major node – the first unit’s 560-ton rotor was successfully hoisted, marking that the world’s highest concrete panel stone pile dam has officially entered the unit assembly stage. This progress is not only an important milestone in engineering construction, but also indicates that the project is one step closer to full production.
The rotor of Unit No. 1 lifted this time is 3 meters in diameter and weighs 560 tons, setting a record for the “double best” hydropower equipment in Xinjiang: the largest single capacity and the heaviest weight, and is known as the “No. 1 crane in Tianshan”. This title not only reflects the huge scale of the rotor, but also shows the outstanding capabilities of Chinese engineering and technical personnel in high-precision lifting. From a technical point of view, such a large weight rotor lifting puts extremely high requirements on the performance of lifting equipment, the experience of operators, and the precise control of the construction process.
Under the precise construction organization, the behemoth weighing 560 tons is lifted smoothly through a double-car axle crane, completing 20 meters horizontal movement in 90 minutes, and finally achieving accurate docking with the turbine shaft in millimeter level. This precise docking at the millimeter level reflects the exquisiteness and rigorous attitude of China’s engineering technology in the installation of large-scale equipment. It can be expected that the subsequent assembly process of the unit will also face similar technical challenges.
As the core project of 172 major water conservancy projects of the State Council for water conservation and water supply, the total installed capacity of the Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub Project is 750,000 kilowatts, and the annual power generation can reach 1.893 billion kilowatt-hours after completion. The project has both comprehensive benefits such as power generation, irrigation, and flood control. The construction of Dashixia Water Conservancy Hub can not only effectively utilize the rich local water resources and provide clean energy for Xinjiang, but also improve local irrigation conditions and improve agricultural production efficiency. The addition of flood control function can effectively ensure the safety of life and property of residents in downstream areas. In the long run, the completion of the project will play a positive role in promoting economic development and social stability in Xinjiang.
