According to Kuai Keji on July 13, NVIDIA has become the world’s first company to reach a market capitalization of 4 trillion US dollars.
In a recent media interview, Jensen Huang stated that American tech companies will survive President Trump’s tariff policies, just as they have weathered previous market volatilities. He also emphasized the importance of increasing domestic computer chip production.
“Nobody likes disruptions, nobody likes sudden changes, but these solutions will come to pass – President Trump will get these deals done, countries will regroup and resettle, and we’ll make our way through it.”
On July 10th, Jensen Huang met with President Trump at the White House. He conveyed that Trump was “ecstatic” about NVIDIA’s milestone, remarking, “He spent a lot of time congratulating me and telling everyone around him what a great achievement this is.”
Addressing chip tariffs, Huang indicated that tariffs, taxes, and various regulations have been present long before NVIDIA was founded. He believes the situation wouldn’t be significantly different even if Trump were to implement substantial tariffs on semiconductors.
“Every year, there are all sorts of rules, taxes, tariffs, policies, and regulations, and we’ve gotten through them all,” Huang remarked. “I have the utmost confidence that the world will get through this crisis, businesses will get through this crisis, and we’ll do our best, whatever the outcome.”
This week, NVIDIA achieved the distinction of being the first publicly traded company to surpass a $4 trillion market valuation. Driven by the boom in artificial intelligence, NVIDIA’s market capitalization has surged by 22% this year alone. Forbes estimates Jensen Huang’s personal net worth to be as high as $143.6 billion.
