On July 29th， BYD held a media deep-dive exchange session at its Shenzhen headquarters， focusing on technological breakthroughs and future plans in the realms of “electrification and intelligence.” Yang Dongsheng， Senior Vice President of BYD Group and President of the Institute of Automotive New Technology， explicitly stated that electrification is BYD’s “foundational sector，” and the key to its development lies in conquering uncharted technological territories.
He pointed out that by leveraging the Xuanji architecture， BYD has successfully integrated the underlying logic of electrification and intelligence. In the field of intelligence， he emphasized the drive for deeper integration between electrification and intelligence. Taking BYD’s “Sky Eye” as an example， this system， built upon the Xuanji architecture， establishes a “vehicle-level end-to-end” control system from sensors to actuators. In extreme scenarios such as tire blowouts or driving on low-grip surfaces， it can coordinate the power， suspension， and braking systems for millisecond-level responses， nipping accident risks in the bud.
Currently， BYD’s intelligent driving team comprises over 5，000 individuals， with its core algorithm team exceeding 1，000 members. The number of vehicles equipped with the “Sky Eye” advanced driver-assistance system has surpassed one million， signaling a critical period of opportunity for the advancement of intelligent features. BYD plans to continue and increase its investment and innovation in both electrification and intelligence in the future， aiming to provide consumers with a safer and more intelligent mobility experience.
