Asus has officially unveiled its collaboration with renowned cooling manufacturer Noctua on an RTX 5080 graphics card. This new model features a triple-fan, quad-slot design, positioning it firmly in the high-end market. Notably, its pricing has set a new record for the RTX 5080 series.
According to a listing from UK retailer Scan, the Asus RTX 5080 Noctua Edition is priced at £1499.99 (approximately ¥14,494 RMB). This price point is £70 higher than the RTX 5080 TUF Gaming model and represents a significant increase of about 58% over NVIDIA’s MSRP of £949. This makes it the most expensive RTX 5080 currently available on the market.
This marks the fifth graphics card collaboration between Asus and Noctua, continuing their shared objective of creating the “quietest air-cooled graphics cards.” This particular partnership aims to leverage Noctua’s renowned fan technology for superior thermal performance and acoustics, justifying its premium pricing for enthusiasts who prioritize these aspects.
The card is equipped with three 120x25mm Noctua NF-A12x25 G2 fans and features a custom vapor chamber heatsink with seven 8mm and four 6mm heatpipes. This robust cooling solution is designed to dissipate the considerable heat generated by the RTX 5080, ensuring sustained performance during demanding workloads.
Testing indicates that the GPU temperature is 6 degrees Celsius lower than the ROG Strix edition, and VRAM temperatures are nearly 2 degrees Celsius lower. Furthermore, the noise level is reported to be a remarkably low 21.4 decibels, highlighting the effectiveness of Noctua’s cooling expertise.
The graphics card measures 385mm in length and 151mm in width, with a substantial weight of 2.6 kilograms. Additional features include dual BIOS support and a zero-RPM mode where the fans remain inactive below 50 degrees Celsius, further contributing to a silent computing experience.
