According to Fast Technology on August 13th, BYD Auto announced that as of the end of July 2025, the cumulative sales of BYD’s “Tian Shen Zhi Yan” (Divine Eye) models have surpassed 1.2 million units. This significant milestone underscores BYD’s strong momentum and growing influence in the new energy vehicle market, particularly in the domain of intelligent driving.
In July alone, BYD’s sales of vehicles equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) reached 228,215 units. The Dynasty and Ocean series models were the primary contributors, with 204,838 units sold. Equation Leopard and Denza also saw robust sales of 13,121 and 9,936 units respectively, while Yangwang contributed 320 units. This broad adoption across BYD’s diverse brand portfolio highlights the company’s strategy of offering intelligent driving features across a wide range of vehicles, catering to different market segments.
The synergy across BYD’s sub-brands has propelled its intelligent driving-equipped vehicles to achieve an impressive 87% market share within China for the month. This dominant position is a clear testament to BYD’s success in not only developing advanced ADAS technology but also in making it accessible and desirable to a vast consumer base.
On the technological front, the “Tian Jin Zhi Yan” series models are equipped with a comprehensive suite of intelligent driving functions. This includes High-Speed Navigation Assist (HNDA), Lane Centering Cruise (LCC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and all-scenario environmental simulation display (IBR). These features collectively cover a wide spectrum of driving scenarios, from highways to urban environments, and from active driving to parking maneuvers, offering drivers enhanced safety and convenience.
The inclusion of advanced parking assistance features such as the “Yi Si Fang” Parking Assist and Automated Valet Parking (AVP) further enhances the user experience. Coupled with BYD’s commitment to providing safety assurances for intelligent parking systems, these features alleviate potential user concerns and promote greater trust in autonomous parking capabilities.
A particularly noteworthy aspect of BYD’s intelligent driving deployment is the massive data accumulation driven by its large user base. The company generates over 72 million kilometers of ADAS data daily. This vast amount of real-world driving data is crucial for continuously refining and improving its intelligent driving algorithms and systems.
This continuous influx of data fuels a virtuous cycle of “sales growth – data accumulation – technology advancement.” By leveraging this data effectively, BYD ensures that its intelligent driving systems are constantly optimized, leading to more robust performance, enhanced safety, and ultimately, further growth in sales and market share. This data-driven approach is a key differentiator for BYD in the competitive landscape of automotive innovation.
