Recently, a well-known “League of Legends” streamer, “October Captain” (also known as “Shiyue Chuanzhang”), shared a post on Douyin, a popular short-video platform. In this post, he indicated that he might have to bid farewell to live streaming due to being diagnosed with kidney failure and heart failure.
In his statement, “October Captain” expressed his gratitude to his fans for their years of viewership, saying, “To all Captain’s fans, thank you for watching over the years. To all my viewers, starting today, I might have to say goodbye to live streaming. I’ve been diagnosed with kidney failure and heart failure at the hospital. Thank you for all your support over the years, and I wish all of you to take good care of your health. May you have good health and all the best!”

Further elaborating in the comment section, “October Captain” clarified that his diagnosis was chronic kidney failure, commonly known as uremia, and that he is currently undergoing dialysis three times a week.

“October Captain” is recognized as a prominent streamer for the game “League of Legends” and is currently affiliated with the Douyu streaming platform. His content primarily revolves around “League of Legends,” and he has previously achieved the highest ranks, known as “King” (Wangzhe), on both the Chinese and Korean servers multiple times. This demonstrates a high level of skill and dedication to the game.
During his streams, he often engages in duo sessions with a partner, who is affectionately referred to by fans as “You Jiang” (responsible for gameplay) and “Yan Jing Ge Ge” (responsible for interaction). This duo is humorously nicknamed “You Yan De Yun,” a playful reference to a popular Chinese crosstalk group.
