On September 5th, according to official announcements, the order volume for the new generation AITO M7 was released. Ren Zhengfei, the CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, personally clarified the data on his WeChat Moments, stating that the initial order performance significantly exceeded expectations.
The new generation AITO M7 officially opened for pre-sale with a starting price of 288,000 RMB. Initial official data claimed that the vehicle received over 20,000 orders within the first 10 minutes and surpassed 100,000 orders within the first hour of its launch.
However, clarifying these figures further in his WeChat Moments, Ren Zhengfei stated, “To be precise, the AITO M7’s initial reservation data is not 100,000 units in one hour, but rather 100,000 units in 43 minutes. This performance is far beyond our expectations and has exceeded our imagination.” This clarification highlights the immense market reception and consumer enthusiasm for the new model, suggesting a strong demand that rapidly outpaced initial scaling efforts.

The new generation AITO M7 is available in both Extended-Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and pure electric versions. It is offered in three trim levels: Pro+, Max, and Ultra, with further options for five-seat and six-seat configurations. This tiered approach caters to a broader range of consumer preferences and family needs, a common strategy in the competitive EV market to maximize appeal.
The EREV variants are exclusively equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. The five-seat EREV models are priced at 288,000 RMB, 328,000 RMB, and 348,000 RMB, while the six-seat EREV models are priced at 308,000 RMB, 348,000 RMB, and 368,000 RMB. The pricing strategy appears to position the M7 as a premium offering within its segment, leveraging Huawei’s brand reputation.
The pure electric version includes both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. The five-seat pure electric models are priced at 328,000 RMB, 348,000 RMB, and 368,000 RMB. The six-seat pure electric models are priced at 348,000 RMB, 368,000 RMB, and 388,000 RMB. The higher price points for the pure electric variants reflect the advanced technology and potentially higher battery costs associated with this powertrain, aligning with market trends for premium EVs.
