As September 16th approaches, OPPO is gearing up for the October launch of its Find X9 series, with the new devices already entering the pre-announcement phase.
Today, Zhou Yibao, the head of OPPO’s Find series, revealed that OPPO has developed a proprietary eye-friendly display from the ground up. The OPPO Find X9 series will be the first in the world to feature the “Mingmu Eye Protection Screen,” offering true 1-nit brightness across all scenarios and applications.
Zhou Yibao further elaborated on OPPO’s strategic partnership with Tianma, a leading domestic display manufacturer and a long-standing state-owned enterprise. OPPO has exclusively customized and established a dedicated, highest-specification screen production line with Tianma. Concurrently, OPPO’s proprietary smart manufacturing center has seen a significant upgrade to its industry-leading self-developed display science production line. These two high-end, self-developed production lines are singularly focused on producing this exceptional eye-protection screen.
This integrated approach, leveraging OPPO’s dual self-developed screen production lines, grants the company complete control over the entire process of designing, manufacturing, packaging, and debugging the “Mingmu Eye Protection Screen.” This comprehensive control has enabled innovations such as OPPO’s co-designed low-brightness, high-precision circuits, new eye-protection display substrate materials, a novel Display P3 display chip, and the utilization of a customized 150 million pixel industrial camera for data capture.
The “Mingmu Eye Protection Screen” endows the Find X9 with several notable features:
True 1-nit brightness across all scenarios, with support for 1-nit display in any app and situation.
Display uniformity that surpasses that of the iPhone.
The strongest automatic brightness adjustment found on an Android device.
Ultra-high frequency 3840Hz PWM eye protection dimming.
New AI-powered proactive eye protection capabilities.
A peak brightness of 3600 nits with a large window, featuring Human Perceptual Appearance Model adaptation for both bright and dark scenes.
Zhou Yibao further emphasized that this represents OPPO Find X series’ most committed effort in developing an eye-protection screen, a project that has spanned three years and involved exceptionally high costs. This investment underscores OPPO’s dedication to user well-being and its ambition to set new benchmarks in display technology within the premium smartphone segment.
It is also reported that the OPPO Find X9 series will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 platform. The Find X9 Pro, featuring satellite communication capabilities, has achieved an AnTuTu V11 score of 4,045,997, setting a new record in the mobile industry. This powerful performance, coupled with the advanced display technology, positions the Find X9 series as a significant contender in the upcoming flagship smartphone market.
