Zeekr has officially unveiled the interior details for its refreshed 001 model, which is currently available for pre-order and is scheduled for launch on October 11th. This new iteration aims to elevate the in-car experience with a focus on luxury, technology, and premium comfort.
The highlight of the interior is the “Starlight Concert Hall” cabin, featuring a “Flowing Harmony” panoramic ambient lighting system. This sophisticated lighting extends from the central console to the door panels, with subtle accents even found in door storage compartments, around the speakers, and near the cup holders. This immersive lighting is designed to create a dynamic and personalized atmosphere, reminiscent of high-end luxury vehicles.
Audio enthusiasts will be pleased with the new “Dolphin Voice” theater-grade sound system. Boasting a peak power of 4680W, this system shatters conventional limitations for in-car audio power. It comprises 29 high-fidelity speakers, ingeniously incorporating 8 headrest speakers and 8 seat-integrated transducers. The setup achieves a 7.1.4.8 panoramic sound layout with 40 independent channels, aiming to replicate the immersive experience of a professional theater capable of seating a hundred people. This level of audio sophistication is a significant differentiator in the mainstream electric vehicle market.
Seating takes a leap forward with 3D deep massage capabilities. The rear-right seat offers an “Eames Lounge Chair” mode, allowing the leg rest to align almost perfectly with the seat cushion. This luxurious seating position, combined with the ability to fold the front passenger seat, promises exceptional comfort for long journeys.
The “Eames Lounge Chair” reference highlights Zeekr’s ambition to integrate iconic design principles into its vehicles. Originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1956, it’s considered a landmark of 20th-century furniture design, known for its 15-degree recline and its association with high-end craftsmanship. This allusion suggests a focus on ergonomic excellence and premium material quality.
Furthermore, the new model features a “Vast Starry Sky Roof.” This captivating ceiling can be customized via a control screen located near the rear air vents, allowing occupants to display specific constellation patterns. This feature, typically found in ultra-luxury vehicles costing well over a million, adds a significant touch of exclusivity to the Zeekr 001.
As an annual update, the exterior styling of the refreshed Zeekr 001 remains consistent with the current model. A notable option includes a towing package, with the tow hitch retracting neatly into the rear bumper when not in use, maintaining the vehicle’s sleek profile.
The vehicle is equipped with a closed dual-chamber air suspension system, offering a maximum ground clearance of 206mm and an adjustment range of 85mm. It also features the CCD electromagnetic damping system, which responds in milliseconds to dynamically adjust for both agile handling and a comfortable ride. The intelligent “magic carpet” function actively scans the road ahead, proactively tuning the suspension for optimal smoothness.
In terms of driver assistance, the refreshed Zeekr 001 integrates the “Vast Horizon H7” solution. Standard equipment includes the Thor-U chip with 700 TOPS of computing power and lidar sensors, enabling comprehensive all-scenario assisted driving capabilities, including point-to-point navigation from parking spot to parking spot.
The powertrain has seen a full upgrade. All variants now adopt a full-stack 900V high-voltage architecture. The vehicle achieves a peak power output of 680kW, a top speed of 280km/h, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 2.83 seconds. Its CLTC range extends up to 810km on a single charge.
The vehicle supports Megawatt flash charging technology, boasting a maximum charging rate of 12C. This allows the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 7 minutes, a charging speed comparable to refueling a traditional gasoline vehicle, significantly reducing range anxiety for EV owners.
