October 14th, by Kuaitech.com. Tesla Vice President Ms. Tao Lin announced that as the fourth quarter commences, the Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory is entering its peak production season, with the facility bustling with intense activity.
In response to market demand and to shorten delivery cycles for vehicle owners, the factory has officially initiated its fourth-quarter ramp-up mode, aiming to ensure that customers receive their new vehicles as soon as possible.
Footage from the factory, shared by Ms. Tao, depicts newly manufactured vehicles rolling off the assembly line, awaiting quality inspection before being dispatched across the nation. This surge in production is a direct testament to the strong consumer interest and demand for Tesla vehicles, particularly in the Chinese market.
Ms. Tao also highlighted the company’s commitment to its workforce, stating, “To encourage our colleagues at the Shanghai Gigafactory who are diligently pushing for production expansion and breakthroughs, we have ensured comprehensive support and incentives across all aspects of the factory operations.” This focus on employee well-being and motivation is crucial for sustaining high productivity during demanding periods.
Previous reports indicate that in the third quarter of 2025, Tesla delivered a record-breaking 497,000 new vehicles globally. This impressive figure underscores Tesla’s sustained growth and its ability to meet escalating demand on a global scale. The Shanghai Gigafactory plays a pivotal role in achieving these substantial delivery numbers.
Furthermore, according to domestic sales data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) for August and September, the Tesla Model Y consistently secured the top spot in single-model sales. This consistent market leadership signifies the Model Y’s enduring popularity and competitive edge within the highly contested electric vehicle segment in China. The aggressive production ramp-up in Shanghai is undoubtedly a strategic move to maintain this market dominance and cater to the burgeoning demand for the Model Y.
