On November 8th, according to reports, Li Jian, CEO of Honor Terminal Co., Ltd., appeared at the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit. During the event, he announced that Honor will launch a “Robot Phone” next year.
Li Jian stated, “Next year, Honor will introduce a Robot Phone that integrates AI capabilities, embodied intelligence, and high-definition imaging.”
Honor initiated its “Alpha Strategy” in March of this year, allocating a total investment of $10 billion over five years to build an AI terminal ecosystem in three phases. This ambitious strategy underscores Honor’s commitment to pioneering the future of intelligent devices.
Previously, Honor had already showcased its Robot Phone, touting it as the “next-generation terminal new species.” The company positioned it not just as an AI smartphone, but also as a mobile robotic companion and a professional camera.
This innovative device features a deep integration of an AI brain, robotic mobility, and professional imaging. Its concealed robotic arm gimbal can unfold with a single press, enabling the phone to “move” and perform tasks such as automatic framing, object tracking, and achieving extreme stabilization. This represents a significant leap beyond the static capabilities of current smartphones.
Furthermore, the Robot Phone’s on-device large model, YOYO, possesses emotional sensing capabilities. It is designed to proactively offer personalized care and content recommendations, and to orchestrate various connected ecosystem devices, effectively serving as a personal butler and creative partner. This level of intelligent interaction aims to redefine the user experience, moving towards a more symbiotic relationship between humans and their devices.
