On September 8th, Lynk & Co’s 10 EM-P officially launched. The new vehicle offers four models with a suggested retail price range of 173,800 to 211,800 yuan. It features a limited-time discount of 10,000 yuan, bringing the post-discount price range to 163,800 to 201,800 yuan.
The new model introduces the 120 four-wheel-drive Halo variant on top of the three previously announced configurations. All models come standard with intelligent electric four-wheel drive and LiDAR, and debut with the Flyme Auto 2 in-car infotainment system. This comprehensive feature set, particularly the standard LiDAR, positions the 10 EM-P competitively in its segment, offering advanced driver-assistance capabilities from the base trim.
The exterior design of the new vehicle is reminiscent of Lynk & Co’s concept car, “The Next Day,” featuring a prominent “mech-style” front face and retaining the brand’s signature Y-shaped “light wing” headlights. The car sports hidden door handles, frameless doors, a sloping fastback rear, and large 21-inch wheels. These design choices contribute to a sporty and contemporary aesthetic, aiming to attract a younger demographic.
The new model offers three new custom exterior color options: “Glamour Gold,” “Cloud White,” and “Glaze Purple.” The interior is available in “Crimson Orange,” “Sunlight Beige,” “Moon Shadow Black,” and “Obsidian Black,” providing a range of sophisticated and high-quality color choices that enhance the premium feel of the cabin.
Measuring 5050mm in length, 1966mm in width, and 1487mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3005mm, the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized sedan. Its fastback design contributes to its sporty profile, offering a visually appealing silhouette that is often sought after in this segment.
The cockpit features an impressive array of displays, including a 12.66-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15.4-inch central control screen, and a 25.6-inch HUD (Head-Up Display). It is powered by the Flyme Auto infotainment system and the intelligent 8295 automotive chip, promising a seamless and feature-rich user experience. The inclusion of the 8295 chip suggests strong processing capabilities for complex entertainment and navigation tasks.
The interior is lavishly appointed with extensive use of Ultrasuede microfiber suede material, enhancing its upscale and tactile quality. The cabin also features “cloud-feeling” zero-pressure four-seat configurations, a Harman Kardon audio system, and a car refrigerator, among other luxury amenities. These comfort and convenience features aim to provide a first-class experience for occupants.
In terms of intelligent driving, the entire lineup is equipped with LiDAR and the NVIDIA Thor chip, boasting 700 TOPS of computing power. Coupled with the “Qianli Haohan H7” intelligent assisted driving system, it supports navigation assistance and parking assistance functions across various scenarios. The standard inclusion of advanced hardware like LiDAR and a powerful chip signifies Lynk & Co’s commitment to pushing autonomous driving technology in its vehicles.
The powertrain consists of a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine with P1, P3, and P4 electric motors. The system delivers a maximum combined power output of 390 kW and a peak torque of 755 Nm. With its intelligent electric four-wheel drive across all trims, the vehicle achieves a fuel consumption of 4.2L/100km when the battery is depleted. The battery capacity options are 18.4 kWh and 38.2 kWh, providing CLTC pure electric ranges of 120 km and 240 km, respectively. The dual battery options cater to different driving needs, offering flexibility for daily commuting and longer journeys.
Overall, the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P is poised to compete with established models such as the BYD Han, Chery Fengyun A9L, and Xingji Yuan ES by leveraging its strong product offerings, including standard four-wheel drive, LiDAR, and advanced assistive technologies. These segments have a significant existing customer base, and the Lynk & Co 10 EM-P’s success will ultimately depend on its ability to resonate with consumers and capture market share, which will be demonstrated through its sales performance in the coming months.
