The trip in question was a high-speed train journey from Hangzhou South to Changsha.
While waiting for the train， Lee and her companions discovered the option to order food delivery on the high-speed rail. They took advantage of this service through the 12306 app， ordering Nanchang mixed rice noodles， a specialty from Jiangxi province.
Upon reaching Nanchang West Station， train staff delivered the ordered meal directly to Lee’s seat. Currently， the 12306 online meal ordering service is available at over 90 stations nationwide. Passengers can easily place orders through the official 12306 App. The process is as follows:
1. Open the 12306 App and tap on “餐饮·特产” (Food & Specialties).
2. Enter the train number and select the departure date， then tap “开始订餐” (Start Ordering).
3. Select the departure and arrival stations to see which stations along the route offer food delivery services.
4. The ordering page displays the estimated delivery time to your seat， cutlery quantity， and invoicing information. You can also add special notes to your order as needed.
5. After selecting your preferred station and meal， enter your name， carriage number， seat number， and mobile phone number on the “订单确认” (Order Confirmation) page， then tap “立即支付” (Pay Now).
6. Upon successful order placement， railway staff will deliver the food to your designated carriage and seat.
