According to Leapmotor’s official announcement on September 1st, the brand delivered 57,066 vehicles in August, marking a year-on-year increase of over 88% and setting a new historical high. This achievement also means Leapmotor has secured the top sales position among new energy vehicle startups for six consecutive months.
Leapmotor currently offers seven models in its lineup: T03, B10, B01, C01, C10, C11, and C16. A key factor contributing to their strong sales performance is Leapmotor’s unwavering commitment to a full-stack in-house R&D strategy. This approach ensures that all seven models inherently boast exceptional cost-effectiveness.
Models such as the Leapmotor B01, B10, and C10, among others, provide owners with features and an overall experience that often surpasses their respective market segments. This focus on delivering superior value is a primary driver behind Leapmotor’s significant sales success.
Furthermore, Leapmotor Auto recently released its interim financial report for the first half of 2025. The company reported a net profit of RMB 30 million for the half-year period. This marks the first time Leapmotor has achieved a net profit in its mid-year reporting, making it the second Chinese new energy vehicle startup to reach profitability on a semi-annual basis.
On August 21st, Leapmotor also reached a significant milestone, having delivered a cumulative total of 900,000 vehicles. The company has revised its sales forecasts upwards twice this year, with its overall sales target now increased to 650,000 units.
Interestingly, in its recent promotional materials, Leapmotor has previewed an upcoming new vehicle, referred to as the Leapmotor Lafa 5, which is likely the model rumored to be the B05. The company describes it as a new product under its new personalized strategy. Preliminary indications suggest it will be a hatchback, and it is highly probable that it will also offer excellent value for money.
